Remarkable Chape Pluvial in lampas with satin edged background, Italy, late 17th century. Consisting of two cream lampas with polychrome decoration arranged in six strips 49 cm wide with selvedges. Bordered with fringed trimmings in yellow silk with two buttons on the hood. Under the hood is a lampas edged with a gros de Tours background. Partial lining in cream glazed linen. Small repairs to the shoulders in particular, some weaknesses, small repairs and micro stains. Stable condition. Very rare piece.
