Hi, I'm Kathryn.

I'm a designer & developer based in Los Angeles bridging the worlds of UX, AR, VR, games, and immersive theatre. I recently completed my Interactive Media MFA at USC Games, part of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. My thesis game, Penrose Station, a sci-fi VR mystery about an abandoned deep sea research station, won the New Media Writing Prize Student Award.

I’m currently a gameplay designer at Twisted Pixel Games (Oculus Studios) working on an unannounced VR game. Some other projects I’ve worked on include Virtual Virtual Reality 2, “Metaverse Noir” (as seen in WIRED), The Pickfair Directive (an IndieCade nominee), and Heirloom (winner at the Women in Games Global Awards).

I am also a co-founder of The Immersive Experience Institute, a non-profit dedicated to the development and discovery of immersive & experiential artists and audiences, which produces The Next Stage Immersive Summit, as well as the former Executive Editor of No Proscenium.
