'Sex Drive' was released as a 7" single in the US exactly 33 years ago on May 1, 1991.
Unlike previous live sets, the album 'Flashpoint' - out in 1991 and recorded across North America, Europe and Japan - also includes two new studio tracks: 'Highwire' and 'Sex Drive'; the former was released as a single earlier in 1991 and was a comment on the Gulf War, the latter would be released as a single in the US, Japan and Holland but not in the UK.
The track did not chart despite a promo video directed by Julien Temple, and extended remixes were released on 12" in both America and Europe.
