Arrived early after a long drive and advised we couldn’t check in till 1500 but then didn’t get room till 1545. Room was in a poor state with skirting missing and a broken arm on the sofa where the wood kept falling off so couldn’t use it for whole trip. The air conditioning was not working and the bedding was thin and one of the pillow cases was torn. Room was spacious and clean and the balcony great for watching the world go by but the condition of the room was not worth £200 a night and we feel a little let down by Mercure as we were expecting a luxurious few days.

Great location and nice room - appreciated table and chairs. Very comfortable bed. Reception staff very helpful, breakfast excellent. We had dinner in restaurant which was very nice.
