Calling All Pensioners

[Repeated from Monday 1pm.] Magazine programme with Tim Hamilton, addressing issues which affect pensioners across London. This week: England-based pensioners’ charity, Independent Age, compares the number of older people living in poverty with the size of the population living in three UK cities, and also asks you to tell them about your experiences of your sky-high energy bills. Age UK outlines the biggest challenges older people are facing, and the changes our next Government could make to tackle them. Eorann Lean, Age UK’s campaigns manager, explains that to be able to vote, you now need to bring photo ID to the polling station. Our musical tributes are to Clarence Frogman Henry, who was aged 87 and an American rhythm and blues singer and pianist, and to Dickey Betts, who was aged 80 and an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer, and a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. Produced by Deptford Action Group for the Elderly.
