A wet evening for many with widespread rain, turning heavy at times. Parts of Ulster will stay dry until early night. Moderate, occasionally fresh, southeasterly winds.

Tonight

Tonight, rain will spread further northeastwards, continuing to affect most areas through the night. However, it will turn drier in Munster and south Connacht with scattered showers and clear spells following behind the rain. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with some mist and fog patches in light southeast or variable winds.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning, patchy rain will continue over the northern half of the country with sunny spells and scattered showers elsewhere. Rain will slowly clear northwards through the afternoon as showers become more widespread. Some showers will be heavy with the potential for thunderstorms and spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate westerly or variable winds.
