The Kansas City Chiefs
[May 17, 2024]
Mark your calendars, Chiefs Kingdom.
[….]

Apparently, no.

Some of the responses:

Hopefully my husband installs a TV for me in the kitchen …

Mark your calendars. Another day in the kitchen. Questioning my life choices because my life never began when I married a terrible, no good cheating sack of excrement. But. You know. At least that was better than, you know, my degrees. I’m not sure my lil ol mind can possibly know how to turn on a tv. On accounta I need to be barefoot in the kitchen an all.

Is it okay for me to watch the games this year? I’ll need to ask my husband first of course. Hopefully I can see the tv from the kitchen.

Do I have to watch the games in the kitchen?

sorry can’t watch any of the games this season!!! my life hasn’t started since i’m not a homemaker yet!!!

Wait… are witches allowed to leave our cauldrons to watch the game??? Im not sure how the rules work on this side of the fence…

I ran out of kindling for the cookstove. It’s ok though, I shredded my diplomas to catch the wood on fire.
I won’t be needing them anymore.

No self respecting woman has time to watch the chiefs! We must spend our time practicing for our greatest vocation!!

I don’t have a husband to ask, so can y’all give me permission to watch the games this upcoming season?

Sorry, won’t be watching. Can’t see the television from the kitchen. That’s where my husband says my job is.

I don’t have a tv in my kitchen. I guess I won’t be watching the NFL. Thanks Butker for teaching me what good little wives do.

I’m not allowed to have a calendar, my husband keeps track of my days for me, the way God wants it.

Yes, I can’t wait to change my calendar back to 1955 this football season.

Wait I can’t watch the game. Apparently it wasn’t a part of my vocation I’m supposed to be birthing babies in the kitchen while I cook for hubby…

I’m not married; whose permission do I need to watch the game?

Well I can’t leave the kitchen soooo……

Are women allowed to watch football?

Quick question: are women allowed to attend the games and is there a special section that you keep them in?

Blessed be the fruit.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to, I apparently have babies to raise

Have you all found a new stadium location yet? Might I suggest Stepford.

That one left a mark.

Why oh why does game day have to be on laundry day? Maybe my husband will let me switch procreation time with laundry since one only takes 45 seconds.

Too bad I can’t see our living room TV from the kitchen!

Am I allowed to watch if I can see the TV from my kitchen?

If Ofbutker is allowed to watch the games maybe I can too

We see what you did there.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch the game between burning my graduate degree diplomas and cooking and cleaning. Perhaps one of my fellow hand maids could help me?

I must ask my husband if I’m allowed to watch the game, even though I’m the football fan in the relationship and he couldn’t care less. I hope I have time to watch the game if he says yes, I will probably be making dinner while simultaneously ironing his clothes and packing his lunch for work the next day. It’s so hard to be a woman in 2024!

Harrison Butker I can’t find my wife. I’ve looked everywhere; the kitchen, the nursery, and the laundry room. I’m starting to worry she may be contributing financially to the household or possibly attending a pride rally. Any advice?

Just so that I know the clear answer, what about the women who cannot have children??? Just asking?

My dad died and my husband won’t let me out of the kitchen. I’m also birthing two babies in the next 12 months so I will be doing a lot of laundry. I also need to exercise and drop that baby weight so my husband still finds me attractive. Maybe next decade.

Sorry I’m too busy in the kitchen

I’ll get back to you. My husband hasn’t decided yet if I can watch.

I think I have something else to do every single time. But I better check with my significant other because he might need me to make snacks.

Are women allowed at your games? Just wanted to clarify.

My husbands has no idea that second oven I had installed in the kitchen is actually a TV. I will not be watching the chiefs. I am watching divorce court instead.

Heh.

Sorry to miss this season. I’ll be fulfilling my true vocation and there’s no tv in my kitchen.

I’ll have to ask my husband if I can be a Chief’s fan this year.

Let me ask my husband if I can take time away from my “homemaker” duties to tune in.

Hopefully my husband lets me watch

But I’m *checks notes* not married, AND I’m bisexual. Whose permission do I need to watch the games? I’m sorry, my college degrees made me too stupid to figure it out.

These comments are pure gold. I knew they would be!

Sorry no TV in the kitchen

Sorry… I’m a woman so I dont think I can watch. In fact, according to you guys, I shouldn’t be thinking at all! Sooo, it’s a no from me. Too busy in the kitchen

My life hasn’t started I’m not a homemaker yet.. guess when I get married I’ll have to adopt kids since I can’t have them

Will we need a signed permission slip from a man to attend games?

I can’t make decisions with my woman mind. Maybe next season.

Not sure if I can watch…I’m was only a career Army officer, making my own way through life, making my own living, and taking care of myself in retirement.
Without a husband and kids…who am I?

I would but my Sundays are dedicated to organizing LGBTQ+ Pride events all fall. I do all of this in my free time from my very successful and fulfilling high paid career that has been a pure joy ever since I decided to never marry and never have children and became an atheist.

Too bad I’ll be in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant… after all, I have to fulfill my ultimate duties as a woman.
Just checking… are these dates for 2024 or 1945?

1144.

Mark my calendar? Am I allowed to watch the game? Am I allowed to mark my own calendar? Asking for a friend

I work for a research lab trying to find cures for cancer and Alzheimer’s but you’re right, maybe I should just stick to making the seven layer bean dip.

I will be too busy having more thoughts than children and using my law degree to watch a bunch of grown men chasing each other over a ball.

Golly gee wilikers! I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch football this season as I have no husband for which to ask permission to do so and my father lives too far away to ask! Also, I am not sure if I even should since I am part of the LGBTQIA Community and I am a sinner because I am a woman who works!

Are women allowed to sit in the Lower level or are they restricted to upper level back rows? Asking for a friend.

He’s a misogynistic bigot. To explain this to the owner’s wife, you’re right . He’s not a bigot for his words about women. For that he’s a misogynistic. He’s a bigot for suggesting everyone in the LGBTQ community will die at the hands of God. Such a shamefull and irresponsible things to say. LGBTQ youth are already high risk for suicide, drug, and alcohol abuse. The biggest sin is to say these kinds of things which makes it even worse for woman seeking equality and for anyone seeking to love who they love.

The Chiefs made it pretty clear how they feel about their female supporters, so I guess I’ll stay in the kitchen

Are unaccompanied women allowed at games?

Are gay people, like me, who are apparently filled with EVIL, according to your closeted kicker dude, allowed to watch your sportsball games?

Are you going to allow women to attend your games, seeing as they are apparently supposed to stay in the kitchen and all?

If I bring my wife is there a kitchen in the stadium she has to stay in? Or is she even allowed to attend?

Will women be allowed to drive to the stadium and have a seat or will they be tied to the stove on Sundays?

Idk if I can watch this year I have to ask my husband first.

Ballot Candy – part 3

SJR 74 [pdf] was stalled in the Missouri Senate by a lengthy filibuster conducted by the Democratic minority. The bill would ultimately make it more difficult to pass initiatives. It was also loaded with “ballot candy” – measures already in state law which are included to make approval of this particular initiative more attractive to voters, obscuring the original intent.

The Senate sent the bill to the House for conference with the “ballot candy” removed.

Yesterday the House refused to recede (and conference) and sent it back to the Senate.

The House basically replied, “The ball’s in your court.”

Massive bipartisan coalition of Missourians stops radical proposal to end 100 years of majority rule

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 17, 2024
[….]

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The people of Missouri came together with a united message this legislative session: asking politicians to stop their radical attack on the initiative petition process. After months of political infighting, tens of thousands of calls, emails, and meetings, plus an over fifty-hour filibuster, the Missouri House and Senate adjourned for the year without passing any changes to the process.

“This is a huge victory for Missourians,” said Liz McCune, Executive Director of Progress MO. “The initiative petition process is an essential part of our democracy that allows voters to have a direct say in the policies and issues that matter to them most.”

The legislature attempted to pass multiple versions of their radical ideas at times requiring up to 75% approval from voters for a ballot measure to pass.

This was not the first attempt by radical politicians to attack the initiative petition process. Progress MO will continue to combat all attempts to end majority rule and remove power from hardworking Missourians.

###

Time ran out. The legislative session has ended.

It’s nice that we can count on a fractured and dysfunctional right wingnut majority to save us all from some (not all) of their worst excesses.

It’s in their nature.

There are approximately ten hours remaining in the legislative session.

Here’s hoping for the usual end-of-session dysfunction from the right wingnut controlled General Assembly.

8 GOP candidates can’t run as Republicans, Missouri judge rules. They’d refused morals test

A circuit court judge on Thursday evening ruled that the county clerk improperly placed their names on the ballot. “I think the judge ruled correctly,” said Mark McCloskey, the attorney representing the county’s Republican committee. “Here is the bottom line: What this means is that no one but the party gets to decide who runs on that party’s ticket. … They can file as independents.”

Ironic, isn’t it, coming from MAGA world?

The court really had no choice. In the past:
