TONIGHT

Rain will spread further northeastwards, continuing to affect most areas through the night. However, it will turn drier in Munster and south Connacht with scattered showers and clear spells following behind the rain. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with some mist and fog patches in light southeast or variable winds.

TOMORROW - Sunday 26th May

On Sunday morning, patchy rain will continue over the northern half of the country with sunny spells and scattered showers elsewhere. Rain will slowly clear northwards through the afternoon as showers become more widespread. Some showers will be heavy with the potential for thunderstorms and spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate westerly or variable winds.

National Outlook

Clear spells with scattered showers on Sunday night, gradually easing through the night. Lowest temperatures 7 to 9 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds.

Sunny spells and showers on Monday, with the showers becoming lighter and more isolated through the day. Highest temperatures 13 to 16 degrees in moderate westerly winds.

Rain will arrive in the southwest later Monday evening or early Monday night extending countrywide overnight. Lowest temperatures 7 to 10 degrees in moderate southerly winds.

Rain will turn heavy at times on Tuesday morning. Sunny spells will develop later as the rain clears to showers. Highest temperatures 16 to 18 degrees in moderate southwest winds.

There'll be sunshine and showers on Wednesday. Highest temperatures 16 to 18 degrees, moderate westerly winds becoming moderate to fresh northwest.
