Yep, used them last week and a friend used them for work he's doing.
They're very good, next day delivery or collection in your local Brooks.
    Prices are very competitive.

Just remember the prices quoted are all plus VAT.

I've bought a couplf of drills (one was a hammer drill and can't remember the other one but it was a 24v so a very good one) from ebay.co.uk.
Used only top sellars as i've been done on ebay before. Both items cost me around half of what i was quoted here in the building suppliers (even with their "discount").
Items arrived in perfect condition and only a few days after i ordered them.
Got them off two seperate sellers but but make sure you only use "top sellers" just in case!!

    Excellent point.

We once had a customer go to an online distributor because they were cheaper - only once you factored State Sales Tax. Which online vendors still dont apply, for most states.

Nevermind you're meant to declare online purchases when you file..

Anyway she had paid for it from us the day before... we decided to decline her request for a refund, given that Tax Evasion is not covered in our return policy.

I find this amazing and wonder whats up here considering they are both the same company.....

I believe they are not the same company. I bought some insulation and building materials from them last week. Apparantly they bulk buy from suppliers and sell then on cheaper to the customer. So Brooks, Chadwicks and so on still get the business and build4less.ie pass on the savings to us. Its a great idea and long over due I say.

They are the same company. Brooks and chadwicks and indeed this site is owned by the wolsey group.

Interesting first post by the way.

Ha ye thanks just stumbled upon this topic. But as far as I know brooks are owned by the woolsley group and chadwicks are owned by the grafton group all in the uk and build4less.ie is independently owned in ireland. Now I could be wrong though. Have you used the website?

I ment brooks and heatmerchants actually. My apologies. But my point is still valid. Brooks is owned by the woolsey group so is this site.

The fact we are carrying this on is in my opinion giving the thread credability. I can smell spam a mile away

a quick search or the cro.ie reveals nothing on build for less which suggest its just a portal rather than an actual company....

While new users giving opinions of companies may seem spammy, unless there is a proven link then no action is to be taken.

I accept that perfectly... However all that glitters is not necessary gold. In other words if it looks to good to be true it usually is.

This site imo is just a portal direct and the prices are no better than trade discounts.

If the website is just a portal or offering trade discounts is that not a good thing for people that dont have access to trade discounts? Sure is it not all about saving a few quid where ever you can nowadays?

Just found this post, I agree with Colmkill, build4less prices are cheaper. In fact, my friend is a builder by trade and he says if you are building your house by direct labour, build4less.ie an online builders providers, lets you know where the cheapest products are. he goes to them for all his clients as they are best price building supplies and he recommends it to for cheapest building materials prices in ireland

Shills out in force here I see.
I'll be avoiding any company that promotes it's business in this manner regardless of price.
