Good Maen
not to brag - but here I am doing it ---
but I was the winner of the Pepsi Tall Ship challenge many years ago when I did sweepstakes challenges ---- I won a weekend enjoying the tall ships when they came into Chicago --- I put my hands on the wheel that Johnny Depp placed his hands when filming ---- and it was the ship used in 'The Bounty'
so tall ships pictures remind me of that weekend
off to Tai chi -- tootles

Denny, Wolf, Mary & everyone! Goodnight, Anne!
It's sunny & raining, but I haven't seen a rainbow.
Helping the flowers to grow, though!
Had a terrible time getting on the Internet this morning. Computer acting very strange. Rebooting helped, but slow. Makes me wonder.

I doubt that the Tall Ships could even get into that harbor right now. We saw the Tall Ships twice. Once in a boat parade on the Detroit River. (The cannons set all the car alarms going! ) And once in Bay City, MI where we got to board the ships. Gorgeous!

The Fifth Grade Field Trip for all schools in San Diego County is a weekend on a Tall Ship docked in San Diego. The ship is the Star of India, and it is open for tours during the week. It also leaves its mooring and sails around the area several times a year. The ship was built on the Isle of Man and sailed around the World 21 times between 1863 and 1901. The kids stay onboard all weekend and perform all of the tasks that a sailor would, including cooking, manning the ropes, swabbing the decks, and standing watch in the middle of the night! They learn so much ... and return home exhausted!

all!
Well, that's close to home.
I've toured the Star of India in San Diego, Judy. I didn't know school kids could spend a weekend on her. What a great experience!

Facebook..in real life...
For those of my older generation who do not really comprehend why Facebook exists.

Presently, I am trying to make friends outside of Facebook while applying the same principles.
Therefore, every day I go down on the street and tell the passers-by what I have eaten, how I feel, what I have done the night before and what I will do tomorrow night. Then I give them pictures of my family, my dog and me gardening and spending time in my pool.
I also listen to their conversations and I tell them I love them.
And it works.
I already have 3 persons following me: 2 police officers and a psychiatrist.

Especially for those who have problems with ''spell check'' and ''auto fill'' -

Eye halve a spelling chequer

It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.
Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it

Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them. Lest We Forget.
