Do you serve raw oysters?

Hayley, we do use fresh oysters for our fried and broiled seafood platters but we do not serve raw oysters on the half shell. Thank you for the inquiry.

Never disappoints go there every time in AB!
Always get shrimp and grits. Had crab and lobster app for first time! Yummy!
The s'mores dessert to die for too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 11, 2012Previous reviewThis was our favorite on Atlantic beach! Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rocking chairs to sit out with the kids. They were very accommodating to our three children under the age of 8. My husband had the shrimp and grits which was awesome, and I had two smaller plates. The she crab soup and appetizer crab cakes which were perfect amounts for a meal
Can't say enough. Great atmosphere, and the campfire dessert for the kids was a huge hit!
Can't wait to go again! - 31920988Mar 27, 2024
When my husband, mother, and I went to North Carolina to visit family, they told us they wanted to take us to this restaurant. Between its unique decor and atmosphere, and its menu, it is definitely a restaurant you want to make sure to visit when you were in town!
We had a party of five and had about one hour wait before getting seated. Wow that was a little longer than I expected since it is not beach season yet, it was not unreasonable.
Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, and very attentive. Her name tag said Pumpkin, but I'm not sure if that's your real name.
Started with the fried pickles and they were delicious! The batter was perfectly seasoned and very good, but not too much. The pickle slices were thicker than what you would get in your standard supermarket dill pickle slice. So, each one was a very substantial bite!
My mother ordered the scallops and said they were very good. She opted for having them profiled.
My husband had the two pork chop plate and he said it was delicious! He could not stop talking about it.
I went with the flounder. It was nicely boiled and had just the slightest seasoning on it.
If you like seafood, you definitely want to check out this unique restaurant when you're in town.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan T.Honolulu, HI0155Nov 7, 2023
The quality of the food was excellent. We had the spicy shrimp appetizer and the chowder. I had the ribeye steak for dinner and it was the juiciest steak I've had in a very long time.
Butterbean was our server and she was outstanding. Her smile was contagious and she was on top of drink refills and getting anything else we needed. We will definitely be back when we travel back to this area of the country.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 27, 2023
We frequent Atlantic Beach/Morehead City/Beaufort pretty much whenever we can. We had never been to this place and decided to take our last night there to finally eat there.
I HIGHLY suggest you get there and get in line 30-45 mins before opening dinner (4 pm). The place is on the smaller side, and people line up pretty quickly e outside to dine.
We didn't have to wait too long for our party of 4. The inside is very eclectically decorated and fun. We were seated in the back which had open windows to the waterway in the back. It's quite noisy, but an overall fun atmosphere.
The service was slow, but was decent as it was a busy night.
We ordered crab cake pasta, small filet w/ veggies and the flounder kids plate. Also, we had an app of pot sticker dumplings. The best part was the appetizer and the complimentary bread they bring you. The crab cake pasta was on the dry side and not seasoned very well. The filet was over cooked and the bed of veggies it was placed on had zero flavor/seasoning. My child loved her fish and applesauce! I sampled her fish and agreed...it was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly.
Overall, this was very disappointing. It was definitely on the pricier side, and receiving food that was sub par and mediocre was a low blow.
I'm not saying we won't try it again to sample more of the menu...but it might be a while.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ange J.Raleigh, NC011Apr 10, 2024

This place has the most friendly service imaginable. Our server was outstanding! Very upbeat, gregarious staff. This staff is so energetic, I was wondering if they were lifted from a college cheerleading squad. They were very clean, well-dressed, and lively. When you spend good money for your food, you want the servers to be on par in the quality and they were. Our table was seated next to an open garage-style window on a beautiful night. The decor is fantastic, and the ambiance is pleasant.
My Mahi and side vegetables were awesome, buttery, tasty, and well-prepared. However, here is where they drop from 5 stars to 4. My wife's crab cakes were BREADY. I am a crab cake snob, being raised in Annapolis Maryland. Sorry but I am naturally crabby. This is like the state fruit and honestly, Amos is real, real good, but they could be great. Please, for the love of all things holy in the seafood industry - don't skimp on the crab to save a few bucks. Stop it. It's sacrilege. We'll pay another 5 bucks for a real crab cake. You guys are so outrageously good to miss this. You are the Patriots going 19-0 only to lose in the Super Bowl to silly Eli Manning.
(You are a 5+ across the board, but I'll be praying for your crab cakes)
Did I rant enough? You guys are too awesome to lose it on weak fare. Please buck up on your crab cakes.
I am coming back here again and spending more hard earned cash. Y'all are worth it. But I'm poking those cakes with a shish-kebab skewer next time. I'll still eat everything else on the menu. Thanks for taking care of us. Your staff is amazing!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alison A.Jamestown, NC13847Jan 20, 2024
What a great restaurant and delicious fresh food!! We went during the off season so no wait. We forgot to take food pics but met up with friends. Our waitress, Ashley was the best! Joyful and sweet. Laughing along with our group. We truly enjoyed her. Parking lot parking. The interior of the restaurant is themed like a backyard swamp situation with Mosquitos as their theme. They sell a T-shirt with the mosquito on them. The food is a mix of seafood and pastas. Soup and salads. Shrimp and grits were delicious! Enjoy this place in the winter without the crowds.

Five star experience on our last night at Atlantic Beach ! If you don't want the same ol, same ol pub fare, bar food, "local" fish camp choices that abound here, Amos Mosquitos should be on your list. On our visit, we enjoyed a creamy and rich clam chowder that was some of the best we've had. We chose to share the Big Bad Skeeter platter of shrimp, flounder, and oysters. Outstanding ! It's obvious to notice the freshness of local seafood in this dish ! We will certainly return on our next trip to the beach !
