Q:
I've wanted to come here for 8 years, now I'm finally coming. What are the best dishes/must haves to try on the menu?
A:
Everyone's taste is different so my must haves may not be yours. Having said that, my must haves are Jamon Ibérico de Bellota Cinco Jotas, Mushrooms & Cream, and Jicama Wrapped Guacamole.

We were a bit sad to find out that this location in Beverly Hills closed but like all other José Andres restaurants, it was truly special.
I had my birthday dinner here in September 2018 -yeah, this review is way overdue - because we LOVE Bazaar Meat, Jaleo, and China Poblano in Las Vegas. The food delivered, and the setup and ambience is certainly different but it is quality and experience all around.

8/6/2020. Another COVID-19 casualty. And the end of a classic LA spot. Tonight was the last evening for The Bazaar at SLS. Good night to memories of puffy bread Philly cheesesteak. Good night Not Your Everyday Caprese. Good night Salt Air Margaritas. Good night LN2 caipirinha. It's been a beautiful run. Hope to soon say good night to Covid-19; And Good morning to a new day of good eats.
If you missed the opportunity to eat at Bazaar, check out https://wck.org/chefsforamerica. You'll see this Chef is more than just about food.

There are quiet nooks or be in the middle of the hustle & bustle. Date night or a casual dinner. Come for just food or dessert or drinks. The bazaar has it all!
Must haves: Philly cheesesteak, not your everyday caprese, eggplant tempura, jicama wraps. Tableside Liquid nitro caprinihia & salt air margarita. - Feb 18, 2020
Pretty good. A solid 3.5
Ah the every so often fine dining experience we have each year. This year we all landed on Bazaar. Came through with reservations for a group of 4 and about 20-30 minutes after checking in we were finally seated. Odd.
Definitely a swanky place, a bit dark, but the vibe here is cool. We got a bit of everything, so lets get to the important stuff; The food:
Started off with Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche: The scallops were good, but the sauce they paired with it tasted like it had been made w LA Tap water mixed in to it. Started off good, but then the after taste was pretty bad.
Brussel Sprouts: Pretty good and cooked just they way you'd want it to. Solid dish.
Asparagus and Leeks: This was pretty good, but a little more on the bland side. Looked pretty though.
Caprese: Pesto, mozz, and some cherry tomatos. No frills and pretty on dish, but forgettable.
Black Cod: This one was interesting because we almost thought it was cat fish. We all came to agreement that it was a bit overcooked. When we have black cod it usually falls apart and melts in the mouth, but this specifically was a bit drier.
Philly Cheese Steaks: Surprisingly delicious. The air bread acting as a vessel for the cheese inside was pretty ingenious. I'd say try at least 1 if you come here.
Bone in Ribeye: A nice big 28oz piece. Cooked perfectly to the Medium-rare we requested. May be a bit on the saltier side for some, but this was my favorite of the night.
Osetra Sturgeon Caviar $160: Pretty good, but I'm going to say the buns it comes with stole the show. Literally can forego the caviar and just ask for the buns with the sides and it alone lol. The buns were that good.
Overall a solid dinner. Our extra bun orders for some reason took 20 minutes each to show up. Not sure if they were making them fresh each time, but that seemed off.
Wasn't too blown away by anything here as I was hoping, but it was good not great.
Would I come back? Unsure, but if they sold those buns in dozens I'd be back every day.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - CharaGG K.Rancho Palos Verdes, CA3119439Aug 8, 2022

Exceeded expectations in every way. I always thought the The Bazaar was just another fine dining tapas restaurant, but the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Dishes that sounded typical were presented in unexpected formats, making for a whimsical series of small bites. The menu is enormous, offering a huge selection of tapas. There are also regular and vegetarian tasting menus featuring popular dishes for $125/person.
Located on the ground floor of the SLS Beverly Hills, the ambience is elegant yet relaxed, with big comfy chairs and roomy tables. The Foggy Hill Negroni was a fantastic cocktail, made with mezcal and topped with an aromatic thyme-citrus cloud. I also liked the LN Caipirinha, a fun table-side preparation using liquid nitrogen to create an alcoholic slushy of sorts.
We ordered 11 dishes for two people, which was the perfect amount of food. Highlights included the Not Your Everyday Caprese, a fresh take on a classic with juicy grape tomatoes and liquid mozzarella balls atop rich, nutty pesto. The Organized Caesar was another incredible salad, plated with the creative appearance of a sushi roll. The Brussels Sprouts were a hit, blanched with a tender bite, and dressed in a flavorful citrus sauce and foam.
The Mushrooms & Cream was a great vegetarian dish on the heavier side. Juicy mushrooms are steeped in a richly savory sauce, and served with crusty bread for dipping. We found the popular Philly Cheese Steak (Hilly for me, with mushroom) to be just okay-it's essentially a big cracker filled with melted cheese. My boyfriend loved the King Crab Steamed Buns and Coffee Rubbed Wagyu.
Be sure to leave room for dessert! Your meal concludes in a separate room, where an abundance of beautiful confections are on display. Here, you may enjoy whatever sweets you desire, along with a great selection of dessert wines, coffee/tea. My favorite item was the Rose Caramelized Mousse, a gorgeous sparkly red treat filled with silky creme brûlée mousse, and a delicate praline crunch. The Chocolate Cupcake was also shockingly good.
Service was friendly and polished, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We look forward to returning.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Nov 30, 2019
We haven't been to The Bazaar in a couple of years and we're excited to be back.
There were some changes made to the menu during our "sabbatical". Before, the menu was divided into traditional tapas and molecular gastronomy dishes. Now there was just one menu where the dishes were all listed randomly.
The service was, however, exceptional.
As far as drinks go, I won't recommend the Alcohol-Free Sangria because it had too much ice and there was little of the actual drink in it. My pet peeve.
Our favorite dishes of the night were Tortilla De Patatas, Wrinkly Potatoes, Gazpacho, Tuna Avocado Roll and the Oysters with Passion Fruit Foam. The little Beluga Caviar Cones were a treat too.
Usually a fan of both olives and octopus, I didn't enjoy either. The Shrimp dish was blah. Anything with Jamòn was solid.
The chocolate mousse was good but I generally find the desserts at The Bazaar a bit boring.
Overall, the menu feels a little stale and not imaginative. The service was outstanding. Could be worth to come by and search the menu for something good but I wouldn't kill myself trying.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Unfortunately I went to Bazaar a long while ago, and I can't believe I didn't write a review.
We went here for Dine LA, and I loved that they featured all their main stars of the show for us to sample.
The bazaar is all about the experience and is amped up even more with the amazingly memorable taste of all their courses. I loved seeing how each chef was "specialized' in their craft. My favorite dishes were the philly cheese steak and the cotton candy foie gras. Bazaar executes their dishes perfectly, with creativity to intrigue the risk-taking foodie but with recognizability of flavors that someone less adventurous can enjoy.
We also loved getting to see the dessert room and enjoyed indulging in some sweets to end the night.
Their tasting menu for dine LA is spectacular and is a must-do for a splurge meal in LA.
Hope someday I can get to Somni- can you make a Dine LA for Somni too? :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Total change of heart & experience. From beginning to end we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Our server, (so upset that I forgot his name because he was excellent, wanted to say it started with a j and was roughly 5 letters), had the best recommendations and was incredibly attentive.
- not your everyday caprese (the liquid cheese that pops into your mouth with the extravagant tastes that the tomato has been bathed in is phenomenal) 5/5
- Tortilla de patatas 5/5 (an eggy potato-ey cup of joy. wish I could have a bowl of this everyday for breakfast)
- caviar cone 5/5
- American cone (kind of just tastes like guacamole and salsa) 3/5
- philly cheesesteak (fun take) 4/5
- pork bahn mi buns (you would think there would be nothing special about this to order if you ever go to vietnamese sandwich shops but you got to try it, totally delicious)
- tuna ceviche & avocado roll 5/5
- coffee rubbed American wagyu (flavor was pretty good but the meat wasn't, hate chewy meat) 2/5
- seared wagyu beef cheeks (interesting flavor) 3/5
- wild mushroom rice 4/5
- beef tartare (best beef tartare I've ever had in my life. An absolute MUST) 6/5
- Red velvet 4/5
- Imperial earl grey 5/5
Having had such a terrible first experience, coming on a day that isn't dineLA made all the difference. I know DineLA seems to have a bad rep and it's because they are too rushed most of the time which in turn I believe quality gets shot down. Having gone this time tasted just like what I expected from a Jose Andres restaurant.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 28, 2019Previous reviewI came here expecting quite a spectacular experience and unfortunately did not. I came here for DineLA with a girlfriend for a night out. We were super excited because the place was beautiful and trendy. Everyone that worked there was gorgeous, it's as if they only hired models and most of them definitely aimed to hold the atmosphere of class and elegance in the restaurant.
Of all people our waiter was rude. He seemed to be rushing us the whole time. When we had asked if they had any moscato and if he could show us in the menu... he flipped through annoyed and when he couldn't find it he quickly recommended another wine guaranteeing that we would love it... we didn't like so we went back to our first choice and his attitude only dropped further. He never actually brought the one we wanted, but instead a manager or someone that was dressed differently did... RUDE! then to top it off when we had asked for the menu to see if we had gotten everything, he brought it & said "well hurry because i have to give it to another table" & watched us impatiently as we quickly reviewed it again. we saw him twice through our whole meal!
Needless to say service here sucks from the people you expect it from but is amazing from the people you don't.
Now to the food...
- bagel & lox cone (super super small but tasty. Kind of reminds me of a Philadelphia roll that you can get at just about ANY Japanese restaurant but instead of surrounded by rice with something like a crispy crepe skin) 4/5
- ceaser (great mix) 4/5
- seared scallops 3/5
- beef tartare (standard, good) 4/5
- oysters (intersting toppings)
- wagyu Steak (amazing flavor) 5/5
- mushrooms & cream 4/5
- stuffed piquillo peppers (a fancy stuffed jalepeno) 4/5
- Philly Cheese Steak (What a wonderful surprise! A crispy hollow chip like pocket topped with pieces of steak and lightly filled with some sort of whipped cheese) 5/5
- cheesecake 3/5
- flan 3/5
We totally didn't want to tip our main waiter, but since there were so many food runners and other people involved we were afraid they wouldn't get tipped as well.
I recommend NOT coming here for dineLA since the prices actually came out to practically the same thing as regular & their waiters are rushing and rude for the week. Try it once I guess? but nothing here is so phenomenal that I'd ever come back, especially being treated the way we were treated. The ambiance is really the winner. Without it I definitely think this would be a failed creative fusion food gastronomy type of place. All their food is bite size which is what makes it expensive, takes a LOT to get full. Come maybe for a snack... Maybe - Dec 15, 2019
