Well carrying on from my last thread on this subject -http://www.worldofghosts.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2024 It looks like the ghost is a bit of a celebrity! I was talking to a friend who frequents a Burger bar called Nick the Nosh when 2 police asked if they had seen a girl running in and out the bushes where i saw the ghost of the girl. Turns out that the chef has seen this ghost many times as he arrives early in the mornings to set up. The description is very similar too.
Apparently the police refuse to drive up/down the by-pass during the night!! I need to confirm this by speaking to the police at Caterham.
More info to follow when i get more conformation.

| She's been seen regularly apparently. One chap drove up the road, saw the girl but his colleague didn't so he turned round and went passed the same spot several times before both he and his colleague saw the ghost.......apparently. |

Looks like the chap who has a burger van on the by-pass has seen the spirit many times and the police asked my friend who happened to be there if they had seen a girl running in and out of the bushes. This may be a real girl but the burger bar chap has seen the ghost. i am seeing him next week so i can get the full story.
So far it seems there was a girl in the 60's who's car broke down and while waiting for help she got run down. I need to confirm this but thats the story!

Just done a google search, and seems this is a very well known/spotted ghost. Seems she's spotted more on Thursdays too.
What did she appear to be wearing Andy? A lot of reports suggest 60s/70s attire, but the only known death on the roads there that could match are from the 18thC |

Just thought I would mention that my nan lived in a nursing home at Caterham until she died in 1985, so I'm a little familiar with the area. |

From Caterham (Waitrose) if you go up caterham hill towards Caterham on the hill you will go past 2 churches, a small hospital (Dean Hospital on the right) and then the road does a 'S' bend just as the shops start. On the 1st bend there is a turning which is Whyteleafe Hill. Between the main road and Whyteleafe hill there is a big house that's a company office and apparently there is a room at the back which is empty and kept locked. Apparently no one will work in there as all manner of spooky things happen like stuff being thrown around. I don't know how empty the room is but again apparently people hear things banging and noises even though it's unoccupied!

| My nan ended her days at a place called Surrey Hills Clinic a large and picturesque house. I can't remember the name of the hill it was situated on, but it was steep! |
