CAESARS PRESENTS A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME NIGHT at the RINK WITH “the Caesars Tribute: A Salute to the Golden Age of American Skating” event in ATLANTIC CITY on December 11, 2010

Evan Lysacek, Nancy Kerrigan, Sasha Cohen, Brian Boitano, Sarah Hughes, Peggy Fleming and Scott Hamilton Headline a Legendary Field of Olympic Figure Skating Champions Participating in a One Night Ice Skating Extravaganza at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City with Special Presentations by Kristi Yamaguchi and Dick Button

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (DATE) – Harrah’s Entertainment, Caesars Atlantic City and StarGames are proud to announce a figure skating event for the ages, “The Caesars Tribute: A Salute to the Golden Age of American Skating” which will take place on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at Atlantic City’s historic Boardwalk Hall. This once-in-a-lifetime skating extravaganza will feature a star-studded lineup of American skating icons including Evan Lysacek, Nancy Kerrigan, Sasha Cohen, Brian Boitano, Sarah Hughes, Peggy Fleming, Scott Hamilton with special presentations by Kristi Yamaguchi and Dick Button.  The event will also air nationally on NBC from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET on Christmas Day. 

Tickets for the event will officially go on-sale on Monday, September 20th on Ticketmaster.com.

“Caesars is ecstatic to host an incredible group of American figure skating champions for an intimate night of skating,” said Joe Domenico, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars and Bally’s Atlantic City.  “The event is part of an ongoing commitment to support Atlantic City as a year-round resort destination and will be one of the biggest holiday attractions on the Boardwalk this winter.  Skating fans across the country will also have the opportunity to watch their favorite stars on ice on NBC Christmas Day.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Caesars to bring an unprecedented lineup of skating all-stars to Atlantic,” said Jerry Solomon, President of StarGames.  “With a roster that includes over ten Olympic medalists, the event will keep the enduring and rich history of figure skating at the famous Boardwalk Hall alive.”

Among the confirmed skaters headlining The Caesars Tribute: A Salute to the Golden Age of American Skating will be 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek, 2006 Olympic Silver Medalist and three-time World Championships medalist Sasha Cohen, two-time Olympic figure skating medalist Nancy Kerrigan, 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist Brian Boitano, 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist Peggy Fleming, 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist Sarah Hughes, 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist Paul Wylie, 1996 World Champion Todd Eldredge, 1996 US National Champion Rudy Galindo and three-time US National Champion Michael Weiss.  The exhibition will also feature some of the greatest champions in a pair skating of all-time including Jenni Meno and Todd Sand, JoJo Starbuck and Kenneth Shelley and Naomi Lang and Peter Tcherneshev.  In addition, special appearances and presentations will be made to other skating icons such as 1948 and 1952 Olympic Gold Medal winner Dick Button and 1992 Olympic Gold Medal winner Kristi Yamaguchi.

With the support of Harrah’s Entertainment and Caesars Atlantic City, StarGames will bring figure skating to Atlantic City’s 10,000 seat Boardwalk Hall Arena. Individual tickets are available for $149.50, $92.50, $62.50, $42.50 and $29.50 through Ticketmaster.com on September 20, 2010.  VIP Hospitality, Insider Experience and Group Sales are also available. Do they really expect to sell-out with those tickets prices?

Well, I don't think that those prices are too expencive.By the way European ice stars shows cost much higher.As I see the US have a lot of different shows around the country during the year and I think practically everybody can visit them,not only rich people.

I would hope that Michelle was invited to this (even if she is unable to be there), however this is still a terrific cast. I do think that the top tier prices are ridiculous, so we're going to attend this event at the next price level.
