Porte Cochère by Stephen Block
On the Porte Cochère designed by Stephen Block, a marble-floored garden oasis greets visitors. To update the 1920s structure, the owner of Inner Gardens mixes the romance of leafy foliage with fashionable furnishings. A polished concrete table anchors the grand entry, and a pair of palms in 1950s slag pots flanks the doorway. Chinese chairs on one side of the pillars balance ferns in urns on the other side. The entry serves as an extension of the house and offers the first glimpse of Greystone's beauty and grandeur.
Ribbed Pots (1950s), Center Table, Armillary Sphere (1920s), Bronze Planter Bowl, Zinc Urn with Mask, Carved Wooden Chinese Chairs, Pair of Cast Iron Urns (1920s), Plants: Inner Gardens.

Drawing Room by Richard Shapiro
Expect the unexpected from Richard Shapiro. For the Drawing Room, Shapiro assembles a well-curated mix of antique furnishings and museum-quality art, including an antique Italian torso. On opposing walls, a contemporary photograph counterbalances a hard-edge tondo, both incorporated with antiques and fabrications from Shapiro's STUDIOLO Collection. For the designer, Greystone was the perfect pretext to illustrate that "great design, with all its 'imperfect' idiosyncrasies, equals good drama."
