A grand ‘golden temple’, the Mahalakshmi temple, located on a sprawling 100 acres of land at Sripuram, near Vellore, has been constructed by Vellore-based Sri Narayani Peetam, headed by spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma. The consecration (kumbhabhishekam) is to be performed August 24.
The temple, covering 55,000 sq ft, has intricate carvings and sculptures in gold. Except for the pathway, the entire structure has been made of gold and copper.
About 400 goldsmiths and coppersmiths, including craftsmen from Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam, have completed the architectural marvel in gold in six years. The approximate cost of the temple is Rs 600 crore.
Surrounded by mountains and lush and scenic beauty, the temple, entirely conceived and designed by ‘Amma’, would be open to people of all religions. “The temple is Amma’s gift to mankind,” the sources said. The pathway to the temple has been laid out in the shape of a star with messages of ‘Amma’ and quotes from Gita, Bible and Quran displayed on either side and it is one of he richest temple gifted to tail nadu and belive it,will see sea change and blessings to each and eveyone who visits!

well, to me Sripuram Golden temple is a 100% NO NO go. I think this place is a purely commercial place with 100’s of photos of the promoter in every 10 meters. not a good place for a real devotee.
Please do not encourage false godman by visiting such places. This so called Sakthi Amma has invested in building a temple rather than a Shopping mall as he knew very well that in India, people visit more temples than any mall. Whether it is recession or happiness, people go to temple. this so called promoter has just done a good investment.
what is so bad is, for every 10 meters, I could see a photo of this person – like someone washing his feet, someone doing pooja..all bakwas infact.
Well, to me, this is not a spiritual place – a lalbagh or a cubbon park is a good place to enjoy. I could rate ISKCON 1000 times better than sripuram.

Hi This is Lalith,
I saw the comments given above. As soon as I saw that felt like writing my comments also. I think it is not good for us to give the comments without knowing which is true and which is false. Many will be having different opinions. But Golden temple is very beautiful temple where Goddess Lakshmi is seated.

Dear Sakthi Amma/ Om Namo Narayani
Vanakam. I am from Malaysia , (Perak). We been to Amma’s temple it was wonderful and beautiful journey.. which i think i couldnt explain the joy we had there….
I feel that i should thank GOD for giving us the opportunity to meet Amma .. because i feel that when see Amma we are actually see the GOD.. That the true…anyway… i just dont kow how to put it into words…..the experience..
You should believe in Amma/Namo Narayani….pray …things will change..for good ..towards divine.. what else we want in our life…..
I believe rather than i comment why dont i pray and think positive… i believe the GOD will bless us. But then this is an open statement it up to the person.
We really love and miss Amma and Amma’s pooja. We are really looking forward to fly to INdia.
Thank you.

Hey! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you
using for this site? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers
and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
