The "L" bend areobar had been the standard for Triathletes and Time Trial racers looking to cheat the wind for years. Over time and through testing companies found that by going with a straight bar they could get lower on the bike and decrease both drag and their time on the course. On paper and for top tier riders this was a great position, but for most riders the lower riding position was far less comfortable than the slightly up right position of the "L" bend style aerobar.
The Profile Design T2 Clip-On Aerobar offers a compromise between the straight and "L" bend bars. The "S" bend allows a low tucked position but it is slightly higher than the straight bars for a more comfortable ride.
The 6061 T6 "S" bend extensions are attached to the base bar with the same clamps and hardware for on the popular Profile Design T1 areobars. This design allows the arm rests to be separate from extensions to allow you to dial in the fit and angle of both the arm rest and the extensions. Also included with the arm rests are 12mm spacers to adjust the height of the arm rests for optimal comfort.
The Profile Design T2 uses the F-19 arm rest shape and the pads attach with Velcro which makes for easy replacement and quick access to the adjustment bolts.
The Profile T2 Aerobar is compatible with Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo bar end shifters and features holes for semi-internal cable routing.
