From our base just north of York we are blessed with only a short journey to any of the six main rivers of Yorkshire –The Ouse, Ure, Swale, Nidd, Derwent and Wharfe - rivers very different in character, all inhabited by the enigmatic and powerful Barbel. Let us go in search of Barbel.
