I created a small course for my enjoyment through the CA, so how do I get it into TW07?

| Compile it into a .tcr course file. Then use the 07 Course Utilities program that comes with the 07 game to install it. You will also need to install all of the librarires that you used with the course. The Course Utilities program also can be used to install libraries. |

I am a complete novice at doing this! Is there a hotlink you can post to a topic that would tell me exactly what to do and how to do it? Im not even sure how to play the course I made on TW06! I would love to be able to add more detail to my course and put in the actual tee distances, rather than use the standard hole sht e architect gives you to use.

| When I compile the course in the course editor, it compiles it to a .tca file. How do I get that to a .tcr files? Im not sure either how to locate the libraries for the course either. Im sorry I dont know much! Good news is though is that Im creating a rendition of my local golf course, and honetly the first hole (thats all I have so far) looks and plays just like the real thing! I love this course editor. Now if I can just figure out how to do all the file saving/moving parts! |

Hi.....
When you open course architect you are working in.tca file.
When you compiled course you will create a second file:.tcr file.
So now you will have two files on your PC: .tca file and .tcr file.
Now you will have to put.tcr file in TW game with course utilities 07 .
If you want to see what libraries you used in your new course:
Open Course architect...on top left side click: FILE.....and inside choose: Course properties
And now you will see a list of all libraries in use.
When you added course in tw game(.tcr) file, and you are not happy with result, reopen course architect(.tca) adjust your course file (.tca) and compile again,and you will have a new.tcr file.
Note: When you want to try your course in TW06 game, you will not have to install the libraries, because they are already in TW06 game.So you only will have to install.tcr file in game.
When you want to try your course in TW07 game, you will have to add the libraries when they are not yet in TW07 game. |

When I compile the course in CA, where does it save to? I opened up the CA folder, and the only zip file in there is the uninstall. When I open up CL setup and go to that folder, it wont let me pull out the .tcr file. It only shows 3 folders (bitmaps, swapfiles and bin) and the .zip for the uninstall. But when I open the CA folder through my computer, it shows the .tca file, and then a file that has the name of my course, which is also known as an EASports course file. Do I need to compress that file with the libraries? And if so, I can find the libraries when I open CA like you said, but where do I find them outside of CA so I can compress them? So sorry so many questions, but Im really excited to be able to make my own course and would love to share it with everyone!
One other thing: where is the course utilities located in TW07? Ive read about it but Im not sure how to access it. Thanks again! |

Hi...
Yes the Easports course file you found is the compiled course file (.tcr)
Only thing you have to do now is put in TW07 game with Course utilities07.
You can find course Utilities 07 on next path:
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07\bin
Inside bin folder you will find Courseutilities.exe
When you open course utilities....In middle click: INSTALL......on left side you will have to browse for your.tcr file.
when you found.tcr file....on right side dubble click courses folder and click:INSTALL
Do the same for libraries you used , but install on right side in libraries folder.
When finished you can start TW07 game....and you will be able to test your course in practice or other mode. |

| Great info! Now when I install my course, it says that Dubsdred 06, St. Andrews 06 and Witch Hollow 06 libraries are missing. When I get to them on this site, it wont let me download them. How can I get thoses 3 libraries? |

You should be able to download TW06 stock libraries from this site.
Anyway you can do it the other way:
Go to next location:
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06\Courses
Inside look for folders: STA.....COG...PRG
Inside you will find library file.....right click library file....and copy and paste to your desktop.
so now you will have 3 library files on your desktop: STA...COG...PRG.
NOW open CLsetup07....and install 3 libraries in TW07 game. |
