GET READY FOR THE BULLDOZERS

Roadblock Earth First! is going to shut this road down, and we need your help. The plan (one of many) is to shut down construction every day for thirty days: an entire month of unabated roadblocks!

This month is called X-69, and we need you and your affinity group to make it happen.

Why X-69?

Because we’re not saying when X-69 starts. We don’t know when it starts. We have a thirty-day calendar, and each affinity group signs up for a day to shut down construction. The first day on that calendar is Day X. If you and your group want to bottom-line the 13th day, you sign up for Day X+12. (This does not include weekends, as it is probable that they won’t be working then. If they are, they will be paying overtime, which means they’re already losing money)

When’s Day X?

Day X will be chosen by RBEF! and other planning groups when they see it’s time to come hard. Everyone signed up will be notified two weeks ahead of time. If you and your crew need more than two weeks to get ready (time off work, bus tickets, etc.), sign up for later in the month (i.e. X+20).

So…..?

SO: study the maps, come up with a plan, and sign up for a day. Then practice the skills, acquire the gear, organize your ride. And be ready to roll when you get the call. Oh, and by the way, you should have a back-up plan in place. There’s always the chance that you all are doing so well that there’s no construction to shut down!

We will try to keep and updated visual (affinity groups’ names will be kept off it of course) so that everyone can see the progress being made at arranging affinity groups to shut down construction.
