TUSCAN WASH

A paint effect designed to cover uneven walls or minor imperfections. There are endless variations you can try. They work particularly well if you combine contrasting colours, which will be more dramatic, whilst complementary colours are more subtle.

	You will need: Dulux Wash 'n Wear Silk White Dulux Wash 'n Wear Silk Hidden Ravine Dulux Paint Technique Glaze Paint Tray 225mm Roller 50mm or 75mm Paint Brush Mutton Cloth 100ml Raw Umber Universal Timber Colours used in this setting: 6J2-8 : Black-eyed Beauty 4L1-8 : Hidden Ravine
	STEP 1 Paint walls with a white base coat and allow 12 hours to dry, before applying the top coat. STEP 2 Mix 100ml of Raw Umber Colourant into a litre of Dulux Paint Technique Glaze.
	STEP 3 Using a brush, apply glaze in a haphazard pattern. STEP 4 Use mutton cloth to wash the wall in random patterns, making sure that the wash is even.

STEP 5
While glaze is still sticky, lightly rub a clean piece of mutton cloth over the whole surface to remove excess glaze. Allow to dry.

STEP 6
Mix one part Wash n' Wear Silk Hidden Ravine, one part water and one part Dulux Paint Technique Glaze. Wash glaze mixture lightly over first wash, ensuring that no spaces are left unwashed. Use brush to reach corners.

STEP 7
Allow 12hrs for the surface to dry before sealing with Dulux Duraglaze.
