Pitti Bimbo 73 for children’s fashion summer 2012, Fendi steals the honour as best kids fashion show in town.
June 27, 2011
It’s been a very hot and busy few days in Florence for the 73rd Edition of the kids trade fair Pitti Bimbo. The opening day is always super busy with catwalk shows and events but this year it was crazy, with some of the biggest brands in the world trying to time slot against each other.
For me the best show in town this time was the catwalk by Fendi. Held in a beautiful old Victorian butterfly house similar to the great conservatories in Kew Gardens and with a line up of waiters greeting overheated visitors with lemon ice lollies at the entrance it was a calm moment in a crazy day.
The outfits were true to current trends with simple lines and perfect vibrant brights in jade green, turquoise and deep coral, nicely tufted edged logo scarves and a musical score print used for dresses and boys shirts.
