Round Rock RHP Gerson Garabito Promoted to Texas
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Welcome to The Show, Gerson! The Texas Rangers announced that the club selected the contract of Round Rock Express RHP Gerson Garabito on Sunday morning. Garabito is scheduled to start today against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field at 1:10 p.m. CT. Garabito opened the season with Double-A Frisco before he made his Express debut on April 17. Davenport, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits ended a three-game losing streak and overcame a two-run deficit to top the Dayton Dragons 4-3 at Modern Woodmen Park. Chicago, IL - Tonight, the Connecticut Sun (5-0) defeated the Chicago Sky (2-2), 86-82, on the road at Wintrust Arena. Connecticut trailed by as many as 10 points, including a season-high eight-point deficit at the half, but battled back to stay undefeated on the season. ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats scored four runs in the first inning and made it hold up as they beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 4-3 on Saturday night at Five County Stadium.
