MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency recognized as one of Ad Age’s 2019 and 2020 Best Places to Work, is seeking to interview candidates for a summer Public Relations internship (unpaid/college credit only).
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for general public relations and marketing duties as assigned, including:
- Market and trend research (e.g., Tik Tok trends, IG Reel ideas)
- Influencer research for clients in the restaurant industry
- Build and maintain media lists for a variety of local and national clients
- Assist in the creation and distribution of news materials, including press releases, calendar listings, media advisories, media pitches, etc.
- Miscellaneous writing and proofreading assignments
- Assist with client event planning and influencer events
- Provide media relations assistance
- Occasional support to other MGH departments (e.g., social content, new business research, etc.)
Qualifications
- College student with a focused interest in public relations or marketing who wants to learn in a fun, yet fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize numerous projects, meet tight deadlines and take initiative in problem solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Familiarity with media contacts database, such as Cision, and coverage tracking programs, like Critical Mention a plus
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to Associated Press (AP) Style when writing
