Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse

2010 March 17, Wednesday

Let me take fans of Shu Uemura‘s UV Under Base Mousse down memory lane.

My first encounter with it was in 1990 was at first Shu Uemura standalone boutique at the now defunct Scotts Shopping Centre.  It was one of the firsts for a makeup product in mousse form and was refreshing for many.  And it has been updated over the years and this March, the newest version is available.

With the highest SPF of 30 PA++, it has become more moisturizing yet not sticky in texture.  And for the first time, it dispenses in an upright position making things easier.  It also comes in a warm beige-y shade to warm up a pale skin tone and a pink-y tone to brighten up complexions.

Trick :  if you make a little boobooo with your eye makeup, you can even dab a cotton bud into it and erase the mistake. 🙂

Here’s the history of this cult makeup item.

Hi, I found this product, “UV Under Base Mousse SPF 30 PA +++” on the review website and I like to know where I can get it.
I checked the official shu uemura website, but they didn’t have it.
I also checked Nordstrom website (this is usually where I shop), but they didn’t have this particular product as well.
I’m Asian and have fair skin.
Can you recommend what color to use?
    Thanks.

      Hi,
I live in Singapore and it’s already in stores here and I suppose the rest of Asia too.
Like I mentioned, it depends on which effect you are going for.

Try it out on the counters and see which one you prefer.

      🙂
