Our first Designer Spotlight is one of our favorite mens’ lines, and, sidenote: the very first clothing line that we chose to carry—Buckler.

Buckler describes its man as “a sexy bastard” and its line as “[melding] the roguish American icon with a Brit edge.” I love designer Andrew Buckler’s unexpected takes on classic pieces, like asymmetrical button downs and drop-crotch jeans. Subtle details and British tailoring make each item feel expensive…but, like, in a renegade kind of way. Wearing Buckler makes this bloke want to drive fast and make out with hot chicks. And in Andrew’s clothes? This could maybe even be a possibility.

Our Fall ’10 favorites include Buckler’s rad scoop neck sweater worn over one of Andrew’s flannels, and the aforementioned drop crotch jean, available at life:curated starting Labor Day weekend. Ace.
