Do You Have a Written Plan ?

Have you ever noticed that coaches have written game plans; financial planners have written financial plans, successful businesses have written business plans, wedding planners have written wedding plans, vacationers have written vacation & travel plans, retirement planners have written retirement plans?

Do you have a written “How to Land a Job Quickly Plan ?”  You know you should; but you don’t.

Do You Have a Résumé that is a Powerful Self Marketing Tool on Steroids?

I know you watch television, see billboards on the highways, and notice some of the advertisement in newspapers, magazines, on the radio and on the Internet. Let me ask you, do Madison Avenue marketing professionals promote products and services in a bland, boring, and hapless way?  Of course not; they do whatever is necessary to make the product or service they are promoting as exciting and appealing as possible.  If I were to look at your résumé, would I fall off my seat with excitement?  Would I say to myself; “Wow, this is one of the finest works of self-marketing I’ve ever seen; I want to interview this person because she (he) can add value to our company”?

With over 20 million people looking for jobs, you know you have to STAND OUT and have an exciting and compelling résumé; but you don’t.

Do You Take Massive and Relentless Action Towards Landing Your New Job?

Does an Olympic hopeful get to the Olympics by putting in the minimal amount of effort?motivation

Does a political candidate seeking office rest more than he or she actively campaigns?

Does any team in any sport seek to be the best by investing the least ?

Does anyone go to the gym to lift 90 pounds of weight this week with the objective of lifting less weight next week?

At the end of the day, are you wiping the sweat from your brow as a result of working hard at your job campaign to land the job you want at the pay you deserve?

You know you have to; but you don’t.

Do You Surround Yourself with Winners and People of Influence?

The kind of people you interface with today will determine what kind of life (and job) you will have tomorrow.  If you surround yourself with positive and successful people, you’ll have many positive and successful experiences. If you spend time with high-quality people who challenge you to achieve great things, you will achieve great things.  Do you have a positive sphere of influence; in other words, do you surround yourself with positive people who can help you land a job?

If you have a written plan, a powerful résumé, take massive action, and hang out with positive people, I applaud you.  I am sure you either have the job you want or are very close to landing it.  But for the majority of job seekers, it is clearly apparent that they want more than they are willing to invest.  Said differently, most job seekers want massive results for the minimal amount of effort.  In addition, a lack of commitment, resourcefulness, and resilience consistently leads to underachievement or outright failure.

But here’s the good news: to achieve all your dreams and land that perfect job that will give you and your family an abundance of joy and life’s rewards, you need only start doing what you already know.  You don’t need to learn anything new!

This being said, why not begin doing what you already know today to get the results you want tomorrow ?
