 Post subject: installing the blue board

Im installing the blue board the the problem im having is the screws i use have the wing tips but they oftern go though the steel as it is thin walled stuff, can i used a nail in a nail gun or should i use screws with out the wing tips an pre drill the holes cause i tried them already and the lift the blue board off the studs pulling though any screws already installed, and how far should i sink them in the blue board for so i paint over the top later, thanks Chris
