Dover

In Dover the main passenger terminal is located on the eastern side of the harbour, with seven berths for ferrys. P & O Stena Line and Sea France operate from here. The Hoverspeed Catamaran and hovercraft are ay the Western docks, with the cruise liner terminal.
Calais
If you in Calais on a day trip the coast between Calais and Boulogne is very attractive. Have a look at the Bus station alongside
the railway station, to see what you have time to do. You can get to Wimereux, a resort with lots of charm, by train within 45 minutes. Boulogne is a short jouney down the coast, with a wonderful Nausica Sea Life Centre, harbour, nice park, and lots of good cafes. And that's just the sea front.
