Divine Leadership, why we need it.

The rationale behind the necessity of Divine Leadership is very simple. It comes from two prepositions:

1. People obtained knowledge from its perception, its logical faculty (‘aql), and from what it is told to them by their Creator. Divine leadership covers the third source of knowledge.

2. The complexity of humanity, from its biological bodies to its interaction within the context of civilization is extremely high, well beyond anybody’s ability to perceive and make correct decision out of its perception.

The first preposition is an issue of epistemology. It will be explained later in due time.

The second preposition is explained below:

Imagine an aircraft flying. Modern jetliner is composed of tenths of thousands of components, the simplest being the nuts and bolts, to the most complex a jet engine. It would also experience some of the most extreme condition, from the high temperature, high pressure with varied humidity of an airport, to the cold, low pressure, low humidity of an altitude of 10 km above sea level. Now consider how each and every component would react to a certain condition, and then react differently upon reaching a different altitude.

The case involving three Boeing 737’s is a perfect example.

In 1991, an B737 in North America suddenly went out of control, came to an un-controlled steep dive, and then crashed violently into a field. During the incident, the weather was fine, the sky was clear, there were no violent wind, the crew made no error. Back then, the cause of the crash was unknown.

In 1994, also in North America, another B737 also experienced the same thing. It suddenly went un-controlled, fell into a steep dive, and crashed. The weather was also fine; the pilot didn’t make an error. It was another black mystery.

A breakthrough came when in 1996 another B737 experienced the same thing. But this time the flight was lucky, the pilot managed to regain control, and the plane landed safely. It was the same thing happened all over again. Investigator then interviewed the pilot, and finally positively found the cause of all these crashes. It was a faulty rudder hydraulic jack. The way it was faulty was also very difficult to discover. It didn’t show any damage marks. It was faulty only when it experienced a sudden heat after a prolonged cold. And the way it was faulty was also dazzling, it would react the other way around. If the pilot tells it to move left, it would react by turning right.

This hydraulic jack is not bigger than a microwave oven, and it’s error was so subtle, yet it has caused more than 150 deaths. And while this knowledge is useful to protect future travelers from the same incident, it’s of no use for the 150 people who have perished in the two crashes. This time, ignorance is not bliss.

A simple jack, a simple cold air, a simple rudder, but 150 deaths. This is our level of knowledge.

Civilization is a whole lot more complex situation than a jetliner. It is affected by the earth, the history, the natural science, the culture, and so on. Instead of the tenths of thousand of component, it is composed of more than six billion people, each made of complex structure of atoms, spirit, instinct, and so on. Of each of these six billion people, there are six billion thoughts on every occasion, six billion experiences, six billion ways to react to a certain condition, and so on. The degree of complexity of this civilization is paramount, and no sane person has ever claimed to have the knowledge of this structure except the prophets.
