~ Bowling Green State University ~

Auditions for the Bowling Green majorette squad are held in August. Perspective twirlers have to perform a solo routine and a two and three baton routine. They also learn a group and a marching routine. There is no limit to the number of twirlers on the squad. The squad uses 1, 2 and 3 batons, swords and fire batons. Skills include spins, walkovers, illusions and cartwheels.

The Bowling Green State University twirlers proudly support their Falcons (who sport the school colors of orange and brown) by performing during the home halftime shows and pre-game shows. The twirlers also travel to one away game during the regular season. When the Bowling Green football team appears in a post-season bowl game the Falcon Marching Band travels to that event as well. In addition to football season, the twirlers participate in competitions, perform for halftime pro football games and for high school band shows.

Squad members include: Ashlie Justice, Malissa Ayers, Stephanie Siedlecki, Melissa Pfaff, Katie Kistler, Heather Compton, and Krista Massie. The twirling advisor is Kathy Wilson and the captain is Ashlie Justice.
