Après Brest en 2011 et Chambery en 2012, Angers organisera les 6 et 7 février 2014 le 3éme Colloque Francophone de Simulation en Santé, en collaboration avec le CHU d’Angers et l’AFSARMU.

La thématique principale sera cette année l’Evaluation en simulation.

Mais d’autres thématiques seront proposées durant ces 2 jours :

  • Simulation et formation initiale
  • Les essentiels du débriefing
  • Conférence intéractive : monter un programme DPC en simulation en santé
  • Tables rondes autour des nouveaux métiers de la simulation.

Et cette année, 2 prix viendront aussi récompenser les meilleures communications (meilleure communication médicale et meilleure communication paramédicale)..

Appel à communication pour le 6éme congrès international de Simulation en pédiatrie.

The International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS) and the IPSSW 2014 Organizing Committee are proud to announce the 6th International Pediatric Simulation Symposium and Workshops 2014 (IPSSW2014WIEN) to be held on April 23rd – 25th, 2014 at the Vienna Hilton, city center in Vienna, Austria. The theme of this year’s conference is “Orchestration of Pediatric Simulation: Intensity, Elegance and Harmony”.

We invite submissions of original research, education and technology innovation, and works in progress on topics related to all aspects of pediatric healthcare simulation. Abstracts related to the conference theme that address patient safety, human factors, and/or teamwork are of particular interest. In addition, dependent on author’s preference, abstracts should be submitted in format of preferred presentation category. Submissions will be considered for presentation in the format of workshops, oral presentations, roundtable sessions or poster presentations.

Atelier de simulation/réanimation du donneur, destiné aux médecins réanimateurs et anesthésistes réanimateurs des établissements de santé préleveurs du SRA Grand Ouest

Chers Amis,

Veuillez trouver, ci-joint, une plaquette concernant l’organisation d’un atelier de simulation/réanimation du donneur, destiné aux médecins réanimateurs et anesthésistes réanimateurs des établissements de santé préleveurs du SRA Grand Ouest (12 places disponibles).

Cette information sera, semaine 25, adressée par courrier aux chefs de services d’anesthésie réanimation et de réanimation pour proposition et diffusion au sein de leur équipe.

Il s’agit d’une formation courte (1 journée) réalisée au Centre de simulation en Anesthésie du CHU d’Angers, le vendredi 27 septembre 2013 de 9h à 18h (plan d’accès joint), permettant de mettre en situation le diagnostic de mort encéphalique, l’homéostasie du donneur et l’abord des proches pour la recherche de la non–opposition.

Il n’y a pas de cours classique, mais la nécessité d’avoir validé au préalable par un questionnaire un auto apprentissage des connaissances sur le sujet à partir de référentiels.

Cette formation est gratuite, excepté les frais de transport à la charge du participant.

Nous comptons sur vous pour diffuser largement cette information aux médecins susceptibles d’être intéressés (bulletin réponse, ci-joint).

SESAM 2013 – Programme et inscription des préconférences

Fundamentals for training a successful simulated/standardized patient
Gayle Gliva-McConvey & Carine Layat BurnThe use of SP-based sessions for clinical teaching and assessment is wellestablished and widely used for a range of both clinical and non-clinical skills. SP-based education is an accepted method for learners to engage in the acquisition and practice of clinical skills while allowing faculty to gain a better understanding of the learners’ skills. However, the key element in the successful use of SP-based education is the training and preparation of skilled SPs. This workshop will provide established techniques and methods in training SPs
for application in all healthcare educational curricula.
At the end of the course the participants will discuss and describe:
1. Recruitment & selection of successful SPs
2. Training techniques to meet the objectives and needs of the curriculum (teaching or assessment)
3. Training SPs to provide effective feedback

Mix it Up! Effective use of Blended-Learning for Simulation-Based Healthcare Professions Education
David Salzman, Susan Eller, Yuemi An-Grogan, Lanty O’Connor, Paul PribazBlended learning is the integration of preparatory online learning experiences to enhance face-to-face interactions in the classroom. This course will provide the learners an opportunity to experience how a deliberate approach to blended learning can supplement a simulation-based learning activity.  This highly interactive course presented by an interdisciplinary team of instructors will provide the theoretical underpinnings of a blended learning approach, engage learners in a simulation activity, and will offer the workshop participants an opportunity to begin developing the framework of a blended learning approach for a simulation-based educational session. »

Developing and Implementing Simulation-based Stations for OSCEs
Ross J. ScaleseThis course will actively engage participants in detailed discussion of the steps required to design and implement OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) stations that employ simulations (mannequins and task trainers). Considerations will include development of scoring instruments (checklists and rating scales) for use in these assessments. Participants will plan and actually run a small-scale mock OSCE, giving them practical, hands-on experience with these testing methods, which they can then use to implement simulation-based OSCE stations at their home institutions.

Pre-Hospital Special Interest Group (PH-SIG) – Tour “SAMU de Paris”
Wednesday, June 12th 2013, 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm

The ‘SAMU de Paris’ is the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Service responsible for Paris (the capital of France).  The Service consists of a medical response center, mobile intensive care units (MICU) and a dispatch center staffed by emergency physicians. The MICUs cover the complete range of advanced life support care (cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, major trauma, etc.). Every year, the ‘SAMU de Paris’ deals with approximately 700 000 cases and performs about 9000 out-of-hospital medical interventions.

The tour will provide an insight into the organizational structures of ‘SAMU de Paris’ and will consist of a visit to the medical response center, the dispatch center and also to an MICU to observe the daily ‘routine’ of this professional emergency medical service.

Vital Sign Simulator & Patient Monitor : logiciel gratuit de monitoring de vos patients.

Florian Schwander, programmateur suisse nous propose son nouveau logiciel de monitoring : Vital Sign Simulator.

Ce programme est open-source et téléchargeable ici. Bien qu’il existe un équivalent chez  un grand distributeur, VSS offre une alternative à moindre coût façe aux moniteurs de simulation de patient haute fidélité commerciaux. Mais il intègre en plus un module de défibrillation directement sur l’écran de l’apprenant. De son côté l’opérateur peut modifier plusieurs paramétres vitaux tels que la fréquence cardiaque, la pression artérielle, le rythem ECG. Ce logiciel fonctionne grace au partage d’écran.

Vital Sign Simulator est disponible en anglais et en allemand, seulement pour Windows.

Pour aider à améliorer une nouvelle version, Florian demande à la communauté de simulation en santé des retours sur son programme. Merci pour lui.

Programme Scientifique du SESAM 2013 à Paris

Pour cette édition, la première en France, Paris est fier et ravi d’accueillir les professionnels de la Simulation en Santé du monde entier.
