Coloured pencils were the ideal medium in order to produce the delicate shades and variety of tones for this picture. The soft features of the model, which were inspired by the work of the painter Lea Avizedek, blend well together with the posy of flowers as she reclines so elegantly in the armchair.

The City, which has everything! The main features: Big Ben, Westminster, the London Eye which, together, dominate this painting, whilst the distant rooftops are represented well into the distant background, and set against a rich blue sky.

This picture is my own version of Van Gogh’s famous ‘Chair’ painting, complete with his pipe and tobacco. My choice of colours bears no relation to those used by Vincent, however, I did have a peculiar sense of his presence whilst carrying out this work!

Marilyn Monroe appears in this painting, wrapped in a fluffy white fur cape whilst teetering delicately along the quayside to join co-star, Tony Curtis, who, although not seen in this picture is about to start up the speedboat engine during the penultimate scene, derived from the film ‘Some Like It Hot’.

This very large picture was inspired by the art of the English painter, Edward Seago. The rich colours of the Adriatic Sea are all represented in this painting. The gleaming white sailing boats, aquamarine and rich blues of the water are reflected in the warm, dark features on the left side and the rocky, sandy-coloured, background.

Elegance and glamour is the theme of the Art Deco period, which is captured in this very large painting. The interior is painted in rich bold colours, reflecting the mood of the elongated figures in the foreground, and elaborate ballroom of the 1920’s, which echoes the style of the French painter, Isabelle Rozot.

A typical bustling midsummer scene in Venice depicting plenty of detail including boats and gondolas at the quayside. The strong shadows of the pedestrians reflect the steamy atmosphere and the hot mid-day temperature. In the distance can be seen the “Salute” church, while the intense blue of the sky is replicated on the water of the Lido.
