| Voir la galerie photo en ligne samedi matin, heure Europe : XVIDaniHarmonike Pour la 16ème fois, l'école de musique « Kornelije Stankovic » a organisé le festival traditionnel « Dani Harmonike » à Bijeljina/Ugljevik, en Bosnie-Herzégovine. Outre les concerts et les master classes, des concours pour solistes, ensembles de chambre et orchestres ont été organisés, jugés par un jury international d'experts composé de professeurs de musique et d'interprètes renommés et confirmés de plusieurs pays. Grâce à l'excellente organisation, aux critères d'évaluation élevés et aux excellents invités, le festival a désormais acquis une grande réputation auprès de nombreux critiques musicaux éminents. Cette année, environ 120 jeunes accordéonistes de 15 pays se sont rencontrés (pour la première fois même un candidat de Chine !) qui ont déterminé leur meilleur dans 11 catégories solo, cinq divertissements, trois musique de chambre et deux catégories orchestrales. De nombreux participants ont surpris le jury international par leurs performances très matures, même à un jeune âge. Ce qui était nouveau cette année, c'est que la catégorie solo la plus élevée « Accordéon Euro Coupe » s'est déroulée en deux tours, ce qui a encore augmenté le niveau et la diversité des performances. Tandis que le Suédois Leo Florin Muravjov, élève de la classe de Friedrich Lips à l'Académie Gnesine de Moscou, se trouvait dans une classe à part dans la catégorie classique, l'Italien Emanuele Viti a remporté de manière convaincante la première place dans la catégorie musique légère. Du point de vue autrichien, les performances de Marko Maletic de Graz ont été très réjouissantes, puisqu'il a gagné dans sa catégorie musique légère et représentera l'Autriche au concours international CIA Coupe Mondiale à Castelfidardo (Italie) à l'automne. Cette année, les concerts du soir ont été interprétés par Emanuele Viti (Italie), Leo Florin (Suède), Luca Bello (Italie), Chenxin Yu (Chine), Djordje Peric et Nemanja Kalajdžic. Hazim Mehmedic (BIH) a obtenu le plus grand nombre de points parmi tous les participants au festival l'année dernière et a donc été invité en tant que soliste invité. La star absolue du festival était le Russe Yuri Shishkin, qui a beaucoup impressionné le public par ses interprétations exceptionnelles d'œuvres de différentes époques et lui a inspiré de véritables tempêtes d'enthousiasme. Une fois de plus, Slavisa Peric, en tant qu'organisatrice, a rendu possible la 16ème édition de « Dani Harmonike ». Le prochain « Akkordeonfest » devrait suivre à Graz (Autriche) début décembre. Un grand merci à Slavisa Peric pour son travail inlassable dans l'intérêt de l'accordéon ! |

| Fabio Furia will take part in the 72nd Ljubjana Festival (held in Slovenia) by presenting a bandoneon masterclass from July 25th to 29th, 2024. The course will be open to accordionists or ensembles wishing to learn more about the specific performance practice of tango. Every summer the Ljubljana Festival makes an important contribution to the cultural life of Ljubljana with a carefully selected programme covering a wide variety of genres, including ballet, opera and theatrical productions, musicals, chamber and symphony concerts, the International Art Colony, master classes, children’s and youth workshops, Ljubljana Festival on the River Ljubljanica and much more.  New Zealand accordion entertainer, Tracey Collins will tour Queensland, Australia performing in the “Quintessential Queensland Variety Festival” from May 10th to 20th, 2024.The tour will feature a program of musical events from around the world including a German themed night Oom pah pah, Vive la France, When Irish Eyes are Smiling, Waltzing Matilda, From Broadway to the West End and a grand finale Viva Las Vegas! | Que faites vous la Journée de l’accordéon (World Accordion Day - WAD) pour promovoir l’accordéon dans votre pays ? La journée de l’accordéon est le 6 mai, qui est le jour où l’accordéon a été inventé en 1829. La journée de l’accordéon a été créé en 2009 par le CIA et a rencontré beaucoup de succès depuis, donnant une image positive de l’accordéon. Un des maillons essentiels de cet évènement est le site web de la Journée de l’accordéon. Chaque association, groupe, orchestre, joueur ou enseignant sont priés de soutenir activement cet évènement en proposant ce jour-là, dans leur pays, des activités nationales et locales autour de l’accordéon. Cela peut s’organiser aussi le week end d’avant ou après si c’était plus commode. Chacun peut inscrire son activité pour la journée de l’accordéon sur le site web et envoyer a posteriori un compte rendu qui sera publié sur le site. Aucun évènement n’est trop gros ou ni trop petit. Tous les évènements liés à l’accordéon pour célébrer la journée de l’accordéon seront les bienvenus. C’est une campagne organisée par le Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) pour l’accordéon où tout féru d’accordéon peut participer, le but étant de renforcer les liens de la communauté autour de l’accordéon et de promouvoir l’instrument. |

 Grayson Masefield (picture left) will perform a concert entitled “Music for our Mothers” on May 11th, 2024. Grayson Masefield is dedicating this performance to World Accordion Day (WAD).North Shore Brass is an A-Grade and renowned brass band based in Takapuna, on Auckland's North Shore, with an Academy of over 110 musicians. There will be solo pieces by Grayson as well as a joint performance with the North Shore Brass conducted by Harmen Vanhoorne. The concert, held at the North Harbour Lounge, North harbour Stadium in Albany, Auckland, New Zealand will also feature the up-and-coming North Shore Brass Academy Band under Billy Middleton opening the event. This cabaret concert promises music from around the world to celebrate our mothers. |

| Our current accordion teacher is moving on at the end of this term and therefore we need to recruit a new accordion teacher to begin work in September 2024. We have a number of options and have flexibility in how we recruit: 1) If a candidate is interested in accordion teaching only, we can offer a part time job on an hourly rate. 2) If a candidate can do accordion teaching and another instrument (i.e. piano or organ) we can offer increased hours. 3) If a candidate can do accordion teaching and is willing to do some whole class melodica teaching we can offer increased hours, including up to full time employment. They need to be able to teach classical button accordion (c-system) and piano accordion, have a strong interest in education, and experience of working with children. We will also consider EU or international applications for a full time role. The closing date for applications is Monday 13th May 2024, at 12 noon. | Stéphanie Rodriguez will entertain at The Dansant L’Air du Temps in Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaison, Haute-Loire Department, France on May 5th, 2024. Stéphanie has been playing the accordion since she was eight years old and has appeared on TV 8 Mont Blanc and BFM TV television. On the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, she was selected by TF1 to represent the accordion on Jean Pierre Pernaut's 13 o'clock newscast, playing in front of more than 5.9 million viewers.  The Saarland Accordion Association will hold an Accordion Course at the Saarland State Academy for Musical and Cultural Education in Ottweiler, Grmany from May 8th to 12th, 2024.The course is aimed at accordion students from the age of eight and will include one-to-one lessons which will work with the participants on prepared pieces and promote their playing skills individually. In addition, the interaction is to be further developed through experimental projects, such as film music or improvisation groups. Supervision during the entire seminar will be provided by the Saarland Accordion Association. Lecturers are Stephan Bahr, Kerstin Bludau-Weitzel and Marius Staible.
