Ford Cosworth DFV book by Andrew NoakesKeith Duckworth's masterpiece, the DFV engine family won 155 F1 World Championship Grand Prix races, over 150 Indycar races, conquered the Le Mans 24-hour race and powered numerous hillclimb champions in a career spanning from the 1960s to the 1980s and beyond.

After its first win in Jim Clark's Lotus 49 in 1967 the DFV went on to power cars from Brabham, McLaren, Tyrrell, Williams, Shadow, Rondeau, Mirage, Chaparral and many more of racing's greatest names.

Published by Haynes in 2007, exactly 40 years after the engine's debut, this book tells the DFV's entire, fascinating story. It explains the context for the engine's development in the mid-1960s, details its racing history and shows how it changed in response to new turbocharged competitors. The book has contributions from Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head (Williams F1), John Barnard (McLaren and Ferrari), Jody Scheckter, and Clive Chapman, Chris Dinnage and Bob Dance of Classic Team Lotus. It includes more than 250 images, many never seen in print before.

Long out of print, this book is no longer available from the publisher or most booksellers but I have been able to secure a very limited number of brand new copies which I'm now offering for sale direct from me to you either in standard, unsigned form or signed by the author.
