Account

AccPal.com defines transactions to follow the actual money flow bases on accounts. For each transaction, user will need to assign an account to it respresenting user is taking money from that account or putting money into that account.

Account could be anything, an actual bank account, cash on hand or maybe just an virtual expense account you set up for your kid. Account must be associated with one and only one currency.

Tip: Withdrawing cash from bank account does not necessarily mean that the money is spent. User can use accpal to track money precisely down to last penny in pocket, if user wishes to do so.

Types of Account

Account Type is a way to group and organize your accounts on the summary panel. Below list the default account types:

  1. Cash
  2. Checking
  3. Saving
  4. Credit Card
  5. Investment
  6. Loan
  7. Other

Adding new account

Currency is required before any new account is added. To find out how to add new currency, click here
To add a new account, Click "Menu"
Under "New", Click "New Account" on the second column
A popup window will open, and you may enter account details
Notice that you may have duplicated account names, but it's not recommended to do so.

List all accounts

To list all accounts, on account summary, right click on account name, click manage all accounts.
Alternatively user may click "Menu"
Click "Accounts" on the first column

Edit a account

On account summary(side panel), or go to list all accounts
From there you can:
1. Double click on the account name from the list
2. Right click on the account name from the list and select "Edit"

Close an account

A closed account will be unavailable for selection when adding or editing transactions. To close an account, On account summary(side panel), or go to list all accounts
Right click on the account name from the list and select "Open/Close" to close or re-open the account.

Delete an account

Deletion of an account is not recommended, especially when there are tranasctions associated with it. To delete an account, go to list all accounts
From there you can:
1. Select account name from the list, and hit "Delete" button on your keyboard
2. Right click on the account name from the list and select "Delete"

View transactions associated with an account

On account summary(side panel), or go to list all accounts
Right click on the account name from the list and select "View Transactions"

View account statement

On account summary(side panel), or go to list all accounts
Right click on the account name from the list and select "Statement(This Month)" or "Statement(Last Month)"
